Author of the Month Lori Foster [SEPTEMBER 2005] Chosen by reviewer Tangela Williams, MyShelf.Com I chose to do September's Author of the Month on Lori Foster because of Foster's June release, Jamie. I had read all the other magnificent tales in this series about the people in Visitation, North Carolina. In the first books, Say Not to Joe?, The Secret Life of Bryan, When Bruce met Cyn, and Just a Hint-Clint, Jamie is the loner. He claims no one as his friend; however, he can’t refuse helping his neighbors in Visitation. With his psychic ability, he helps the men in Visitation keep their women and family safe--and has the ladies' hearts going aflutter before he disappears again. Jamie is the one character that leaves you wondering who he really is. Now we can all find out in this wonderful, amazing story, titled after the man named Jamie. Reviews
Reviewed by Tangela Williams, MyShelf.com When Jamie Creed realizes a strange woman is climbing upon his mountain, he immediately goes into his defense mode and goes looking for her. Not that it is hard for him to find her, since he knew, as he always did, what was going to happen. After returning to his cabin with the woman he learns her name is Faith, and that is all. For some reason, she is able to block his psychic mind-probing, which does not sit well with Jamie. For years he has been hiding on the mountain in Visitation, North Carolina. Now he only socializes with a few people who have become his friends over time. Faith Owen used to work
for the very people Jamie is hiding from now; however, she has a secret
of her own that she must have Jamie's help with. She knows why he distrusts
anyone who used to be associated with the institution that experimented
on him and others so many years ago, however she Jamie understands isolation
and is used to keeping himself alone and away from others. That is how
he has lived for years. However, now he is fighting feelings for Faith.
Instead of just finding out what she is doing there and who she might
be working with, Jamie is suddenly struck by need—a need a man feels Jamie Creed is the mysterious
mountain man that we have met in previous Lori Foster books—the
man who always seems to know when someone needs help and when someone
has met the right person. Now Jamie has his own story, one that will delight
readers, especially if you have read Ms. Foster's
