This book takes a sweet and endearing look at a couple who were high school sweethearts, got married, got divorced, and rediscovered their deep love for each other. The book shares the story of Harry and Elizabeth Lawrence and how they got back together after being apart for nearly two decades.

This book is told by synopses. Each one recalls how they rekindled their love and what their apprehensions were when they first re-saw each other after several years of being apart. They rediscovered their love when they got together for the holidays at their daughter's home. There is humor in the book and it shows how important one's true love can be.

This book is very short, forty-eight pages, and moves quickly. Since it is broken in sections with each one sharing their thoughts, it provides an inside look to how both were feeling, instead of having one person tell the whole story. Each passage is dated, so the reader is not confused. This is a very enjoyable story about how important one's true love is and how it is possible to rekindle a lost love.
