Frank Sinatra:
The Family Album
by Charles Pignone
Frank Sinatra: The Family Album, by Charles Pignone, is an exquisite book, one designed with the touch
and feel of a real album; and it includes an outstanding collection of photos of Frank Sinatra, his family,
friends and acquaintances. The Sinatra family provided many of the photos, some of which were taken by Frank
himself. Nancy Sinatra Jr. provides the dedication, and Frank’s granddaughter, Amanda Erlinger, wrote a memorable
introduction.
This beautiful compilation of personal photos includes Frank as a child, his early career, marriage and
children, and so much more. Frank’s early days in Hollywood are portrayed through stunning photos, many of Frank
with such well-known personalities as Jackie Gleason, Dean Martin, Montgomery Clift, Shirley MacLaine, Eleanor
Roosevelt, and, later, Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev. The list of personalities who can be seen in this album
is endless, but the personal photos of Frank and his family are definitely priceless.
The author, Charles Pignone, who also wrote The Sinatra Treasures, is the Sinatra family archivist.
His dedication to Frank’s memory is clear in the care and dedication he used in selecting well over 100 photos for this
album, which includes unique recollections from Frank himself, Nancy Sinatra, and other family and close friends.
Frank Sinatra: The Family Album, is sure to be a collector’s album, and a definite "must-have" for anyone
who adores the fabulous, legendary Frank Sinatra as much as I do. |
