A Second Helping of Murder
More Diabolically Delicious Recipes from Contemporary Mystery Writers
A Taste of Murder
Diabolically Delicious Recipes from Contemporary Mystery Writers
By Jo Grossman - Robert Weibezahl

Poisoned Pen Press has reissued A Taste of Murder along with a second cookbook aptly titled A Second Helping of Murder.

A Second Helping Hand is a sequel of recipes and mystery writers. Under new tongue-in-check chapter headings like "The Set Up," "In the Soup," "A Criminal Past-a" and "Meating out Justice" there are recipes ranging from appetizers to soup to pasta to fabulous main dishes. Some of the recipes are easy and familiar, while others are different and motivating. For the holidays, I have to recommend Janet Dawson's Killer Pumpkin Bread, Susan Kelly's Pumpkin Soup, and Iren Marcuse's Christmas Eve Cholent.

There are great recipes, informative thoughts, and witty remarks by Grossman, Weibezahl and an impressive bunch of mystery writers. The introduction tells readers about the relationship between mysteries and menus. The chapter headings are fun and the recipes to die for. You can't go wrong with a cookbook that offers you recipes from mystery authors like Sue Grafton, Parnell Hall, Tony Hillerman, Marcia Muller, Carolyn Hart and Penny Warner. Not to mention enough tidbits to keep the conversation flowing while enjoying those fabulous recipes. A Second Helping is a fun, fascinating cookbook for the mystery lover at heart and a great way to introduce others to one's reading passion.
