Essential and Easy Recipes for Every Meal
By Jeanne
Lemlin
Not
everyone likes to eat meat. Whether it’s because of environmental,
personal, or health-related reasons, vegetarians have had to be
very creative when it has come to making the same old dishes seem
new and unique from its predecessor. There has been an increasing
interest in the world of culinary art for both meat-eaters and non-meat-eaters
alike lately, and Jeanne Lemlin shows in her latest cookbook that
this interest has brought amazing new ideas, as well as spiced up
some old classics.
From
Vegetarian Chili, Ginger-Miso soup with Noodles to Mushroom and
Swiss Cheese Quesadillas--these are just three of the endless recipes
in this amazing book.
Lemlin
begins by introducing the world of vegetarian cuisine to her readers
by sharing the advances and myths that have been created and laid
to rest in the world of the vegetarian. Lemlin also shares her own
views as to why keeping up with a vegetarian diet is important.
After
the introduction comes my favorite part: the food, of course. With
recipes for things like sun-dried tomato pesto and smoked cheese,
potato, and spinach calzones, there was no way I could put this
book down without my stomach growling in contest.
The
recipes are easy to read and understand, the health benefits are
amazing, and there are so many new and original ideas for vegetarian
cooking in this book, it would be hard for me to not recommend it.
It’s absolutely delicious!
