If you have ever wondered where the Chinese got some of their traditions and philosophies, this is a book for you. Adeline Yen Mah does a great job in explaining where qi (energy), yin (female), and yang (male) words came from and how they ar e used in everyday life. 

She provides great examples from her life experiences with her grandfather and from her work life. Adeline Yen Mah also provides meaning behind some of the pictures of Chinese writing and other Chinese books, such as the "Te Ching." This was an enlightening book that is very easy to understand.
