Never Again?
The Threat of the New Anti-Semitism

By Abraham H. Foxman

Never Again? is a book no rational person can read without becoming angry. The acts of anti-Semitism are still with us, even after the Holocaust of World War II. We all know the war between the Arabs and Israelis is an ongoing battle in the Middle East. We all know of the terrorist attacks carried out there against the Israelis. What we may not know is how many of these attacks are carried out outside the Middle East, sometimes on the streets of America.

Abraham Foxman details some of the instances of anti-Semitism at the beginning of the book. It is by no means a complete list. Then, he begins a history of anti-Semitism. From the beginning of the nation of Israel, many nations have tried to destroy the Jewish people. It has not always been for religious reasons. There have been all kinds of excuses for the attempts to exterminate this race of human beings.

One reason is that they are too prosperous. When is that a crime? Many non-Jews are equally prosperous, but they worked just as hard to get there. Another excuse is that they hold too much power in the business world. How many Arab nations control the world economy with oil, which Israel does not possess?

As Mr. Foxman points out, these are ideas about Jews that have no basis in fact. Among the worst offenders are those who claimed to be Christian. Jesus Christ never harbored an ounce of hatred for anyone. He would be sorrowed to see what has been done to His people in His name.

I found this book very informative. Another Holocaust is entirely possible in today’s world. Read Never Again? and see why Mr. Foxman added a question mark to the famous declaration that it would never happen again.
