"A kind of Justice" is a wonderful collection of short stories with the common thread of justice or revenge.

In the first story a police detective is called to solve the crime of who killed the lonely old lady whose biggest crime was being a gossip.  In another a lab assistant is plagued with recurring nightmares about the animals and the lab where he works.

Later in the book an old woman's memories of Halloween's past soon collide with her fear of Halloween present. What will she do to drive this fear away and take back control of her life?

Judith Parker has written a wonderful collection of stories that were reminiscent of Alfred Hitchcock's stories to me. I rapidly read through them trying to anticipate the final thrust and wicked turn of the tale that signaled the often shocking end.  This collection was a great read. I look forward to more by this author.
