Eve
The Sorority, No. 1
By
Tamara Thorne

Eve Camlan, Samantha Penrose and Merilynn Morris were all around eight years old when they went away to Applehead Lake Cheerleading Camp. While all the other children went on a field trip, these three took a boat over to a forbidden island, where they saw something that would terrify them for the rest of their lives.

Now, all three are at Greenbriar College, pledging the exclusive Gamma Eta Pi Sorority. The three girls have not seen each other since that fateful summer and are not acknowledging their past. As Eve begins to pledge, her dreams turn into nightmares and it is too late when she realizes something very evil is taking place in Gamma sorority.

The Sorority is a trilogy, featuring Eve in the first story. Merilynn's story comes out in a second book next month. Thorne expertly turns innocent things into something that you wouldn't want to meet up with in the dark. I was surprised because it was not consistently Eve's point of view to the end, but it worked out well because this technique heightened the tension. I enjoyed this book and can't wait to see where Thorne takes us next.
