The Manor
By Scott Nicholson
Ephram
Korban has opened his mansion, located in the heart of the Appalachian
Mountains, to various artists for a six-week retreat. Among the
guests are Mason Jackson, a sculptor, and Anna Galloway, a parapsychologist.
Anna isn't there to promote the arts. She is dying, and Korban Manor
has been calling to her in her dreams. Could Korban himself be summoning
her to his isolated and thoroughly haunted residence? Finding the
answer to that question will be difficult because Korban is dead
- by his own hand. Or is he? Something lives within the walls of
The Manor, and little by little, it is sucking the life out of its
inhabitants. Mason, who is being compelled to sculpt a life-size
statue of their mysterious benefactor, and Anna, who has discovered
a chilling personal connection to the malevolent Korban, try to
stop his return from beyond before they are eaten alive by the evil
that permeates the house.
Scott
Nicholson, who wrote the horror classic, The Red Church,
has once again stepped into the shadows to lead us on a frightening
expedition into the scariest places in our own minds. The writing
is vibrant and the characters are all too real. Nicholson is the
master of the "creepies." Plan to leave the light on for
a few nights after your visit to "The Manor."
Highly
recommended!
