In answer to the question
"Am I cut out to work at home?" Millie Szerman answers emphatically,
"Yes Virginia, there is a home-based personality."
From there, she takes you on a journey of how-tos and what-ifs to give
you the confidence to start working with A View from the Tub. If you already
have a home-based business, you'll get ideas and advice for making it
a success.
As a writer, I appreciated the chapter on "how to tune up your one-man
band." I loved the "eating an elephant" metaphor as a way
to multitask and the way she addresses "the loneliness factor."
The reader becomes aware that his author/publicist has not just researched
the subject but has lived it.
A View From the Tub includes a checklist, case studies, a resource section,
a place to take notes and quotes from the likes of Ben Franklin and Ann
Landers. It is a great book for "home study"-sorry I just couldn't
resist the pun.
