Real Estate Appraising From A to Z
By
Guy Cozzi

Real Estate Appraisers earn $300.00 dollars or more for each appraisal they do and can often do 2 or more a day. To be an appraiser there is no background in real estate necessary. All that is necessary is basic knowledge that can be obtained in this book and a good business plan.

However, this book need not only be useful to the appraiser. It would also be beneficial to a homebuyer who could use the book to make themselves aware of how an appraisal is done and what to look for.

An appraisal is the estimated market value of a dwelling, building or piece of property. They are used not only to establish a selling price for a house or property but when borrowing money. People trust an appraiser to help them make one of the biggest decisions of their life.

There are many useful lists and charts throughout this book, such as a list of tools that would be helpful in doing an appraisal and a list of questions to ask when beginning an appraisal.

Each section of an appraisal is covered in depth with some sample appraisals to help guide the novice. There are samples of business cards and letterheads to give the new appraisers an idea of where to get started.

This is the second book I have reviewed by Mr. Cozzi. The previous title I reviewed was The Home Inspection Business from A to Z His books are well laid out and very professional. They would be a fine addition to any aspiring appraiser or homebuyer's library of reference works.
