Marjoleine’s Label Cards
By Marjoleine Zweed

If you like using Marjoleine’s sheet of themed square or rectangular designs then this book is for you. Highlighting some of her new papers and the new range of metal charms and tags, here is another book of lovely cards and gift tags to enchant a variety of different ages and tastes.

This is a companion to Marjoleine’s 3D Greetings Cards (already reviewed on this site) it doesn’t matter whether you have both books or not as all the instructions you need for the cards featured are in here. Once again, there are no Christmas cards although she has designed many lovely holiday papers but plenty of birthday, birth announcement, invitations and general themes instead. I particularly liked the inclusion of the “tools” themed cards for men and the use of the papers that Marjoleine has designed for scrap booking; they are all a bit different. None of the projects is difficult to make up, and the main skill needed is accuracy with a ruler as there is a fair bit of measuring involved to give the cards their “matted” appearance. Many diagrams are given for the paper tile work, and apart from the papers and charms not a lot of materials are involved so this is a good book for crafters on a budget. Simple, attractive and very effective.
