The Lull-A-Baby Sleep Plan
The Soothing, Superfast Way to Help Your New Baby Sleep Through the Night...and Prevent Sleep Problems Before
They Develop
by Cathryn Tobin M.D.
Dr. Cathryn Tobin is the author of The Lull-A-Baby Sleep Plan. This book is very informative and interesting.
Dr. Tobin explains how parents of newborns can use her plan to find the optimal time to start sleep training, what
she calls the "WOO", or the Window of Opportunity. The book details the best time for parents to teach their baby
how to sleep throughout the night and gives tips on what signs to look for before starting this program.
The book is filled with charts and diagrams for easy review, be it about the WOO or even how to swaddle a baby.
For new parents who aren’t sure what sleep method to try with their child, this book provides an option that is
practical, easy to follow, and less harsh and stressful then some other methods out there, like the Cry-It-Out
method. The Lull-A-Baby Sleep Plan is all about making the baby comfortable and instilling good sleep habits.
I found Dr. Tobin’s book to be one that would be great for new parents or even given as a gift at a baby shower,
be it the mother’s first or fifth. I felt this book provided a real option for people who need sleep just as much
as their babies do. I hope people will take the time to read this book, if only to gain a new perspective. It would
be worth it. |
