Inside this book are
nine different cross stitch alphabets and monograms, enabling
you to personalize whatever you wish. The fonts are divided
into three sections, each containing three different alphabets
so you can choose from elegant, fun and classic. There are swirly
curly letters, old English styles, funky backgrounds and my
own favorite letters made from flowers. All are aimed at the
confident beginner and I would suggest anybody with a bit of
basic cross stitch experience would be able to tackle them.
This is a book of alphabets not projects but there are ideas
showing how you can make it your own? which provide food for
thought. Adorn an album, decorate an apron, make a pincushion
or jazz up an ereader cover to give a few examples. At the back
are instructions on reading charts, doing the stitches and selecting
needles, thread etc., as well as how to finish off a few of
the project ideas. Charts are in black and white symbols, with
DMC colors given and suggestions for what to work it on. If
you want detailed instructions for projects you won’t
find them in here but if you are looking for several attractive
alphabets this is a good place to find them.
