Everyone should have one of these sitting with a regular dictionary on their desk. I love Random Houses' SL Dictionary by Elaine Costello. It comes in two sizes. It has easy access to signs and words in alphabetical order so one can look up either quickly. The pictures and instructions are so clear a child could understand them.

Signing isn’t just used with the deaf anymore. It’s a great second language for kids and just the thing for certain jobs when voice communication is not available.
