In Tim LaHaye's audio book "The Merciful God of Prophecy", he explains from Scripture that God's not sitting up on his "Giant throne" waiting for us to mess up so He can club us in the head. As the Scripture says, God is long-suffering. We can't fathom the depth of the love that God has for us. Bible prophecy is not meant to scare us to death. It is meant to motivate believers to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and rejoice that God has every atom and molecule in this universe under His loving control.

LaHaye's book touches briefly on prophecy while the main message of his book is God's love and His compassion for Mankind.
