An
Extra What?
By Freda
Gower Ward
It doesn't
take much to get Freda Gower Ward going. Sometimes I'm not entirely
sure of her destination; but one thing I do know, it will make me
laugh.
In one
of her newest books, An Extra What?, the spark that set her
off was extra virgin olive oil. Now you might ask, "What the
heck is so funny about extra virgin olive oil?" My answer would
have been, "Nothing." However, Freda changed my mind.
Believe me; extra virgin olive oil is funnier than you think.
Freda
has found a correlation between, (okay, I won't say it again. You
know what I mean) "it" and many other things. For instance,
did you know that "it" can be used to create the perfect
food? Or provide the answer to wrinkles? Or to count fish?
I'll
bet you'd be surprised to find that Freda can connect "it"
to diets, hair, mosquitoes, and the pyramids. I won't try to explain
"how" she does it. I'll just let her do it.
My advice?
Buy the book. In fact, buy all of Freda's books. They're funny,
touching, and most of all, they provide a way to reassure yourself
that there really is someone out there who is much more unhinged
than you are!
