     As human beings we tend to complicate so many things in life, especially our understanding of God’s love for us. Our own weaknesses, fears, and preconceived ideas can block the light of God in our lives.

     In Buttercups for Jesus, author Nancy Marie takes what we’ve made so difficult and puts it into simple terms that anyone can understand. Although buttercups turn to face the sun, many times we tend to look away from the Son because of rebellion, hurt, or lack of faith in our Father’s compassion and understanding.

     Nancy Marie uses examples from her own life to guide the reader through the kind of difficult times that have shaped all of us. From her experiences, we are able to more clearly see ourselves. One-by-one, Marie shreds the barriers that keep us from the One who loves us the most. And in the end we are able to turn toward the Son, just as the beautiful buttercup does.

     Buttercups for Jesus is well-written and well researched. Nancy Marie combines scripture and spirit-led teaching together to form a book that everyone needs to read and keep close. Her honest and courageous insight has the ability to change our attitudes toward life–and ourselves. I highly recommend this wonderful and important book.
