Make a Difference
Responding to God's Call to Love the World
By Melvin L. Cheatham, M.D.

We live in a dangerous world. No one who lives on this planet doubts the veracity of that statement. But what do we do about it? Dr. Cheatham tells us in his book, Make a Difference.

How do we make a difference in a world full of violence and hatred? How do we teach people like Osama bin Ladin to love other people when all they know to do is hate and kill those who disagree with them? Many of us find it difficult to not hate in return. Hate is not what God would have us do. So what do we do?

First, we have to consider whether or not we're comfortable with what we're doing. Do you feel like you are where God wants you to be? If you are certain you are following the path he wants you to take, then, you're probably following His will. But if you feel an emptiness, there is probably something more he wants you to do.

In his book, Dr. Cheatham tells us how to find what we're supposed to be doing. He tells us how to give of ourselves to help those in need. He also tells us how to find the courage to live for God and put our own desires to one side. He teaches by showing examples of other people doing God's will. While he praises others, he also gives us his own example of choosing God's way over man's way. He shows us how to use what we have to bring others to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. In this way, we can heal and bring peace to a hurting world.

If you are a Christian in search of God's will, read this book. If you are not a Christian and look for a way to feel the emptiness inside, read this book. Dr. Cheatham points the way to God's way.
