Seven Things That Steal Your Joy
Overcoming the Obstacles to Your Happiness

By Joyce Meyer
Read by Joyce Meyer

In order to fulfill her passion for showing Christians the many ways they can enjoy their everyday lives, Joyce Meyer changed the title of her daily show to exactly that – “Enjoying Everyday Life.” In Meyer’s opinion, one of the key ways to enjoying your life to the fullest is to find ways of overcoming obstacles that try to keep you from experiencing joy and happiness. This book, “Seven Things That Steal Your Joy”, zeros in on the biggest joy stealers and also gives seven major ways to keep joy in our lives.

Whether the obstacle is socially driven as trying to keep oneself following a set of strict rules laid down by men who say that following them is the only way to be worthy in God’s eyes (Religious Legalism) or something as simple as one’s own self-loathing or self-doubt, Meyer shows that there are major ways to destroy those obstacles and begin to experience the love and happiness that God has given us.

Joyce Meyer is a favorite in our household with her candid, heart-felt sermons on human faith and the nature of man’s true relationship with God. Anyone who prefers getting straight answers to straight questions without having to deal with any of the politically driven “correctness” that has surfaced more and more since the late 1960’s will love Meyer’s straight forward thinking and quirky sense of humor. I definitely recommend this book, as well as her others, to any Christian who seeks the facts and realities that modern Christians face in the world today.
