Jodi Carlisle delivers is professional, compassionate narration in the audio version of Overload.

In Overload, Joyce Meyer addresses stress and how it affects us as Christians. First, she reminds us that Jesus knew the pressures of stress, but he never stopped marching toward the cross. This is a powerful statement and shines a different light on our daily pressures, but it doesn’t make them go away. Joyce wants to help us recognize the triggers of stress and teach us how to avoid feeling overloaded. Joyce addresses the spirit, mental and physical reactions to stress, and how destressing can not only improve our lives but the lives of those around us. She covers various subjects that cause stress (medical, financial, etc.), how stress affects us (mentally, physically) and the spiritual treatment to overcome it (prayer, positive words, and scripture). Joyce uses stories, personal examples and scriptures to guide us. She ends each section with chapter insights under “Did You Know?” and chapter recaps under “Things to Remember”. She also includes vital thoughts in small boxes throughout each chapter. Joyce’s research on stress is so thorough that it’s impossible for you to walk away from this teaching unchanged. I recommend Overload to anyone and everyone suffering the effects of stress.
