Eddie is a giraffe, who used to live on the Serengeti Plain, but his father was transferred to a new job and now Eddie lives near Distlefink's farm. He hangs around the farm a lot and has written a book about the happenings on the farm.

Eddie's Fabulous Fables is a marvelous collection of stories; some of them reengineered old favorites, but with a whole new twist. I really enjoyed the story about the three giraffe brothers and the sick old wolf named Herbert who is a vegetarian; a wonderful spoof of the classic "Three Little Pigs."

You'll love the winsome characters. There's Eddie Longneck himself, Julius the grouchy turtle, Alex the sleepy steer, lots of mice, Morgan T. Macaroni (who owns 88 radio stations), and other assorted, unforgettable farm residents. The dialogue is hilarious.

Told with wonderful imagination and humor, this book will quickly become one of your children's favorite e-books, and they will want to return to their favorite stories over and over. There are compelling illustrations of all our friends from Distlefink's farm by Nicole Williams that add visual impact to the fables.
