"There was once a fine gentleman, who, after his beloved first wife died, married a widow with two daughters." The jealous sisters force the gentleman's young daughter to do the lowly tasks of the household and jokingly call her "Cinderella." Sanderson's version of Cinderella varies from the original to make it a unique, magical story, and yet, it is the story we remember from childhood. It is one of our all-time favorite fairy tales retold with vitality and color.

Sanderson is absolutely brilliant as an artist, and the illustrations in Cinderella are a visual feast. As we have come to expect from Sanderson, each illustration is rich in color and detail. It's a book you will want to read again and again, just to savor the pictures.
