Introducing Olive Elizabeth Julia Jerome, a little girl with a great big imagination. She gets lots of encouragement from her proud parents, but her teacher is not quite so encouraging, since Olive disrupts the class with her creativity. Teacher and principal definitely aren't pleased when she gives the Principal's desk a facelift with a jungle theme, even though it is beautiful!

Olive is different, and her shenanigans are funny enough to get a laugh out of her fans and to encourage reluctant readers to share in her fast moving, exciting adventures. (Did you ever try bubblegum/raisin pancakes?)

This is Roberta Baker's first children's book, but Debbie Tilley has illustrated nearly twenty books. The marvelous watercolor illustrations show the feelings of the characters, and give you a sense of the motion in each picture.

This book would make a great addition to your children's library, to be enjoyed again and again.
