Tales
From Grandfather and Bacus the Swamp Troll
By Louise
R. Roarty
Sit
back and relax as Bacus, the Swamp Troll, comes out of his dark
swampy existence to meet with Grandfather. He has brought with him
old scrolls that are filled with magical stories. He even has taken
the liberty of preparing turnip soup in case you were to get hungry.
Bacus's
and Grandfather's intriguing tales paint a picture that will take
you far away to another place and time. Their tales are entwined
with mystical elements such as Indian shamans, Vikings, hobos, and
wild mushroom-gathering trolls. With such a vast assortment of highly
entertaining characters, time will quickly slip away from you as
you become caught up in their fascinating tales.
Louise
Roarty has written a charming collection of legendary folk stories.
Her fresh approach to capture her audience is to be admired. I thoroughly
enjoyed this book, but I found myself wishing it was longer in length.
I would have enjoyed hearing more of Bacus's and Grandfather's adventures.
