Happy Haunting, Amelia Bedelia
By Herman Parish

Pictures by Lynn Sweat

Amelia Bedelia is a maid who takes everything anyone says literally, but that doesn’t stop Mr. And Mrs. Rogers from helping her find out what Halloween is really all about.

From busted windows to worm casserole, readers will be stunned and amused at the antics of Amelia Bedelia and employers. Amelia, Mrs. Rogers, and Mr. Rogers play off of each other so well that it’s hard to choose which one is funnier, and the storyline is so crazy and hilariously adorable, everyone will want to throw a Halloween bash after reading it. And the illustrations are simply incredible. They really bring out the zany humor of the story and characters into the open even more.
