Secrets of Lost Arrow
Fortune Tellers Club, No. 4
By Dotti Endele

Every year Juniper Lynch travels to Lost Arrow to spend spring break with her grandmother. This year, the rest of the fortunetellers club, Anne and Gina, go along. Juniper has warned them that her ultra-normal grandmother doesn't like fortune telling. But when the girls get to Lost Arrow they find that Nana is acting anything but normal. How can the girls figure out the mysterious events without upsetting Nana with their divination? This book has exactly the kind of spooky mystery I liked when I was a kid -- ghostly lights, mysterious mists, and a cemetery! And don't forget the cute boy. The conclusion gives us more insight into Juniper and her family. It's actually kind of refreshing when the mystery isn't explained away as all being perfectly normal -- as usual, the author delivers anything but normal for these girls. Secrets of Lost Arrow is another page-turner in a great series -- I predict middle grade girls will love it.
