By Jean Craighead George

Dag tells Axel they have to check for avalanche conditions. Axel carries Grits, his adventure-loving dog, in his back-pack. When Dag is checking the conditions at Glory Bowl, Axel's friend Kelly shows up. She decides to snow board before Dag returns. When the snow makes strange sounds, Axel, Grits and Kelly react.
