By Denise Vega

Erin Swift is entering seventh grade. That's scary enough. But she's doing it without her best friend and idol, Jilly, by her side. She has to make her own way. Things are looking pretty good. Erin's got new friends, new interests, and maybe even a love life. And she's beginning to learn that you get the best view of yourself and others when you stand on your own two feet. Suddenly, the ultimate worst thing in the whole world happens -- her crush falls for her best friend. Then the super ultimate worst thing in the whole world happens -- her private, personal journal is broadcast to the whole school. Imagine having everyone find out exactly what you think of them!

Vega's portrayal of Erin and her struggles rings very true in this book -- I believed this girl. She reminded me of my own teen confusion, trying to figure out what boys want and how they feel. Her use of current technology was fresh and user friendly. I found the book delightful -- funny and suspenseful at the same time. I'll look forward to reading more by this author.
