My
Teacher can teach...anyone!
By
W. Nikola-Lisa
Illustrated by Felipe Galindo
The
teacher in this book is highly accomplished. The narrator boasts
that she can teach anyone from astronauts to zillionaires.
This clever
alphabet book is appropriate for any school library or home library.
Illustrations are colorful, bright, and depict multicultural characters
as well as characters with disabilities. The alphabet is taught
by means of the various occupations the teacher is equipped to teach:
carpenter, dentist, etc. The rhyme scheme of the text is natural
and fun. It also introduces new occupational vocabulary to children,
such as truck drivers ‘drive a rig’ and fishermen ‘cast
a jig’.
My
Teacher can teach...anyone!
is
an excellent learning tool for children living in our diverse world.
