Arthur and the Dog Show
by Marc Brown
The new 8x8 format for these super short books are sure to create Arthur fans from even the
youngest readers. Arthur knows his dog Pal is the best dog in the world, and the upcoming dog
show is a great way to prove it. Arthur does his part - practicing with Pal every day - now
is Pal up to the challenge? Naturally, nothing ever goes exactly as planned in Arthur's
world, but we're sure to see a happy ending just the same. Shortly after this book came
in the mail, my 6-year-old daughter vanished with it, to read to her bunny - then to her
stuffed animals - then just to herself. With the short simple text and lively illustrations,
it's a great book for early readers to share. |
