I found Nova and the Charmed Three (book number five) to be a fun read and totally believable. Any young girl could relate to Nova and her friends and the problem she faces. How do you handle people you don't like and seem to hate you? Nova tries to cope, and her mysterious message has a brilliant solution.

If Nova and the Charmed Three is representative of the Star Sisterz series, these books are priceless. I remember my daughter reading the Sweet Valley Twins and I was put off by the air-headedness of the characters. That, unfortunately, was probably an artifact of the times. But this series is intelligent with gutsy, likeable girls whose families are refreshingly unusual. Tea Emensse is to be commended for finding the voice of teenage girls and showcasing their day-to-day problems -which aren't finding designer jeans! Bravo!
