Don't Know Much About Dinosaurs
By Kenneth C. Davis
Illustrated by Pedro Martin
Did
you know the average dinosaur was the same size as a sheep?
Did you know dinosaurs could grow
new teeth?
Did you know larger dinosaurs could
live to be 100 to 200 years old?
Davis
answers questions kids generally have about dinosaurs. He also puts
to rest some of the misconceptions created by books and movies.
Davis tells us who ruled the earth, what or who they ate, where
they lived, and how we discovered them. The last question he answers
is the most frequent and the most important to kids - “Will
they ever come back?” You’ll have to read the book to
find out.
Kenneth
C. Davis is widely known for his “Don’t Know Much”
books for grown ups, so who better to clear up the confusion about
Dinosaurs? I think one of my favorite things about this book is
the set up. The colorful print, humorous illustrations, and large,
readable font stand out, helping young readers to focus on the content.
No lulling to sleep between these covers!
“Don’t
Know Much About Dinosaurs” is listed for reading ages 6 through
9, but I guarantee older kids will enjoy it as well. Every library
and elementary school should have a copy. |
