I Spy Shapes in Art
By Lucy Micklethwait
"I
spy with my little eyes..." is (arguably) the most used phrase
on long trips...when everyone's in a good mood anyway. It's a game
that's been played for centuries and will continue to be a basic
form of entertainment and learning for young toddlers who are fascinated
by everything they see.
Micklethwait
has devised an incredibly devious plan to help children not only
learn basic logic and recognition skills but also learn about the
basics of art, as well. The book is filled with classic, as well
as more recent, paintings by artists like Andy Warhol and Henri
Matisse. It's an incredibly colorful book; a great way to entertain
as well as teach your kids. I recommend this book to anyone who
with a deep love of art, who also loves playing with their kids.
