Dangles
and Bangles
By Sherri Haab and Michelle Haab
Illustrated by Barbara Pollack
How
to Fill Summer Days Stylishly
This
book might carry a “Girls Only” disclaimer. Though a
young brother might enjoy crafting it up with his sister, Dangles
and Bangles: 25 Funky Accessories to Make and Wear by Sherri
and Michelle Haab is all about girly things. Crazy belts, key rings,
decorative dangles for a "like-wow" cell phone look, and
jewelry of every shape and description.
The
directions in this book are clear and easy and the illustrations
will tempt anyone with a creative flair to take up some glue, beads,
ribbon, and maybe a little fabric for a few hours of fun that result
in stylish whimsy that will last all summer!
We
don't usually give "end of school" gifts. I think this
book might be the beginning of a new tradition. What a great way
to keep bright, active kids busy throughout the long vacation ahead!
