I See Seashells
An educational series, No. 3

by Sarah V. Richard
Illustrated by AUTHOR

Sarah V. Richard has brought us another counting, coloring and activity book in her educational series. This time in I See Seashells, Richard will have readers coloring, counting, and matching. In simple rhyme and clear instructions, Richard again begins with ten items and counts down to one. Older students, or those needing enrichment, could also learn to identify the names of the shells, since five types of seashells are repeated throughout the book.

I See Seashells has an additional activity this time: Richard provides space in which to draw seashells on six of the pages. She also introduces the circle shape on one page.

I always find Richard's counting coloring books a delight because they are small little books that readily fit into little hands. Each one, and I See Seashells is no exception, offers activities and opportunities to expand upon simple counting and following directions for coloring. Richard uses her experience as a graduate student in elementary education to create books that are school-friendly but can be used at home. They are inexpensive and can be ordered in quantity for home-schooling or in the classroom.

Is Christmas Coming? and Easter Egg Fun are the other titles in her series. All of the books come with a package of eight crayons.
