My First Art Book & Easel: Color, Draw, Paint, Create!
Based on the ALEX™ line of kids’ creative products created by Nurit and Rick Amdur

This kit comes with a forty-two page spiral-bound board book which can be loaded into a slot and forms an easel. The
kit also includes five finger crayons, five chunky markers, three paint colors, one magic wax crayon, one paintbrush
and the board book. The board book has an activity on each page and is coded with Marker Mouse, Crayon Cow and Paint
Pig. The board book must be flipped in order to use the back side. The text is at the bottom of the page and offers
suggestions on what to do on each page. The shading and step-by-step instructions are simple to follow, but the younger
children will need help in reading the instructions.
Each page is titled so that the child can anticipate what to do. The pages are perforated at the top so that after
completion, you can display the artwork on the refrigerator or in a scrapbook. When the board book is completed, you
can purchase another blank pad of paper and continue to use this kit.
This sturdy kit has a handle so that it can be carried easily. The markers, crayons, paintbrush and paints fit
neatly back into the kit. I would recommend that you clean and dry the paintbrush and the water well before you
reassemble the utensil section. This kit is a fun activity center for children. Although there are suggestions
at the bottom of each page, there is the flexibility for your child’s creativity to shine through. This is a great
kit to introduce your child to the basics of coloring, drawing and painting. |
