This is a wonderful
and sensitive story! It is about a child actress, Miranda, whose mother
controls her life. Her mother has hidden secrets about Miranda's birth
that she does not share with Miranda until she is almost dead. Many of
the secrets deal with racism.
Miranda discovers her past, once her mother attempts to bankrupt her and
throws her damaging history in her face. Miranda is left to find her father
and face the music of who she truly is. Right before she is told of her
history, she falls in love with a news reporter named Peter. While Peter
is off in Berlin covering a story, Miranda discovers her past and does
not know how Peter will react. Luckily, Peter has an open mind and insists
on remaining with Miranda.
This is a great story that deals with interracial affairs and racism so
well. M. K. Fottrell does a wonderful job in covering what both sides
face and puts it together very well. M. K. Fottrell does a great job in
grabbing the reader from the first page and having the reader wanting
to continue. It's a truly wonderful read!
