A fresh British humorous story about Melanie who tries to sabotage her friend, Amanda's wedding. Melanie suffers from her own romantic problems and employment issues on top of dealing Amanda's new snobby attitude. Melanie teams up with her other childhood friends to destroy Amanda's wedding. Melanie continues to fall for the wrong guys and ends up being transferred at her job to a department that she hates. Melanie does end up with the right man and getting what she deserves.

This story contains a lot of humor and is very well written. The storyline is fresh and moves along quickly. It leaves the reader hoping that Melanie succeeds in destroying her friend's wedding and gets the man that she wants to have. It leaves the reader having little sympathy for Amanda since her character development is so good. The overall development of this story is wonderful. A great first book for Jenny Colgan.

This is a must for anyone that like British humor, wants a good laugh, or a quick read. You will not be disappointed when you pick up this book.
