Pull up a chair
on the porch and settle down with this slice of small town
Southern life. You will wish that you, too, lived in Ella Louise and could
stop for a chat in the Wild Flour Café, get your car fixed at Lindell's
Clean-It-Quick Car Wash and admire Chief Johnson's tepee. This is a book
filled with heartwarming stories of small town life, a town where the
inhabitants help each other and enjoy life to the full. Find out why the
Newman's house has a hole in the roof, why Polly Ann and Molly Jan finally
agreed to purchase hearing aids, discover what Faye Beth kept in a battered
old envelope and more.
This is a very positive
book, the sort that makes you want to do something good for somebody else
and feel sad for those who don't feel this way. The sort of book in fact
that makes a great present, and I hope will have a sequel sometime soon.
