Halcyon
Daze
By Palmer
Owyoung
Halcyon
Daze takes a humorous look at a woman in her late twenties,
struggling to to avoid getting stuck in her life. Kalani is having
a quarter-life crisis and decides to leave her fiancé at
the altar and leave Kansas to find herself. Along the way, she experiences
many humorous episodes that help her decide who she is.
Halcyon
Daze is written to make the reader laugh out loud and cause
them to think, "Could this really happen?" There are several
unusual characters Owyoung has been able to give separate personalities.
The plot goes along very well without the reader getting confused
by the timeframe. With all of the different episodes and characters,
the reader gets lost into the story, and feels that they are there
with Kalani and experiencing everything along with her.
Halcyon
Daze is Mr. Owyoung's debut novel and if this book has anything
to say, it states that he will be a writer who will be staying on
the front-line with his comedy and writing.
