The
Missing Piece
By Carol
McCormick
Dylan
Clark is down on his luck. He is recently separated from his wife,
recovering alcoholic, and without a job. Desperate to make ends
meet, he accepts a job at a local church as a custodian. Working
at the church, Dylan becomes aquatinted with the pastor and is confronted
with his weaknesses. I admired Dylan's character in the book because
he knows about struggling and works hard to overcome his troubled
past.
Meanwhile,
Lorraine (Dylan's wife) is getting on with her life, dating and
working as a nurse. She has her own painful memories of her marriage
to Dylan. She meets a man at the hospital who offers her a new life.
But can Lorraine end her marriage to Dylan and move on without any
regrets? Dylan and Lorraine's paths cross and they are faced with
their unresolved feelings. Can they find The Missing Piece
in their relationship?
The
characters in this story give a true account to a relationship in
crisis. As a Christian, I found The Missing Piece inspiring
and encouraging. The book gives its reader a testimony to God's
power of change and forgiveness. I encourage anyone who desires
a restoration of spirit to read The Missing Piece.
