The Death and Life of Charlie St. Cloud
By Ben Sherwood

You only think that life begins at birth. A tragic accident and a moment shared in death with his little brother Sam shapes life for years to come for Charlie St. Cloud. A promise keeps them tied in life and death. Charlie grieves for his little brother and devotes his life to working in the cemetery where Sam is buried. There are things in Waterside Cemetery that only Charlie can see.

Tragic events in a little seaside town in Massachusetts draw Charlie into a life he's been avoiding. An independent woman named Tess threatens to alter everything. Charlie sees more than he ever thought possible after meeting her and it will send him reeling in a new direction. Can Charlie keep his promise to Sam without letting go of him but find the love he has lived without? Does he have the courage to let go of Sam?

What a wonderful way to introduce the possibilities of how life and death intertwine. Can the people you lose in death come back to reach out to you in ways you don't recognize? If you've ever lost someone this book is something that will make you wonder about the possibilities. This will be one of my all time favorite stories for years to come. After reading this book you'll find out that sometimes life doesn't start until after death.
