Body Surfing

by Anita Shreve

I was hooked on Anita Shreve when I read All She Ever Wanted. Her writing style captivated me from the very beginning and I couldn’t wait to read her next novel. I was spell-bound and motivated from the very start of opening her books. My heart was beating fast because I knew I was going to like what I read, and get into the characters.

Ms. Shreve is a fabulous storyteller and she knows how to keep your attention. Body Surfing by Anita Shreve continues this trend by the prolific novelist. Sydney is trying to get over the daily conflicts of her life when she takes a job at a cottage to tutor a teen-ager.

The conflicts of the teen-ager’s family are like a soap opera waiting to end, and Sydney finds herself caught in the middle. When Sydney meets Ben and Jeff, the two are in competition for her, and this is where the battle begins. The novel talks about deception, death, jealousy, and adds some mystery, suspense and intrigue along the way.

Ms. Shreve is all about novels about family and marriage and this novel will show you how she puts her spin on the institution. Ms. Shreve has twelve novels published and you better believe that I am her biggest fan.

A memorable book and a must read. Ms. Shreve won’t disappoint and if you are in need of a good reality-based storyline, then Body Surfing is the book for you. The title itself tells it all.
