Silva has chosen to write a fiction novel on a subject that reaches all around the world, literally.

After losing his job, JD decides to end it all. But, before he does, he writes a diery (note the spelling) and posts it on the Internet. He becomes a hit. The world catches on and begins to post emails and message boards about him and his diery. But, is the attention enough to make him change his mind? Pi, a philosopher gets caught up in it all when she learns about the Internet and email. Her reason being she has suffered a loss as well, all her belongings were lost in a fire. She feels she has no past and no strength to start a new future. She makes contact with someone close to JD and feels she is now a bigger part of it all. But will she fall for him and follow through with their plans or give into her own desires.

I was interested in the Internet aspects of Ms. Brownriggs novel and I found myself caught up in JD as well.
