The sensual imagery in this book is incredible!  You can see the colours, taste the spices, feel the warmth of the town of San Miguel de Allende, and all the sensations that Tony and Masako felt on this sabbatical from the rush of American techno-life.

As I was absorbed into their story, I just wanted to hop a plane to Mexico City to visit the lively small town that has become part of them.  Cohan has painted a word picture so true and alive that it makes you hunger for his experience, and to make it part of your own.  You know not to drink the water, but you must sample the other tastes of this town through the author's senses.  It's truly amazing!

A very quick, and satisfying read.  If you truly want to escape, and be in reality at the same time, then join Tony and Masako in the place that became their own hacienda  for a holiday with them.  Fiestas, chiles, Cervezas, and tales of the great Mexian artists, Rivera, Khalo, and more fill these pages with a riot of sensations, colours, and dreams.  You can't miss On Mexican Time!
