COMMON SENSE SOLUTIONS is not a cure-all for mankind's social ills, nor is it intended to be. The author by no means expects everyone to agree with all he says. But it does provide a platform to begin discussions that could lead to solutions for many social problems that exist today.

J. D. Williams attacks some very controversial issues, items that have been a hotbed of political debate for many years. They are also issues that will not go away until a tenable solution can be found. If we all pool our common sense, we might be able to come up with those solutions.

Among the issues Mr. Williams discusses are: religious truth, the death penalty, abortion, smokers' rights, gay rights, political honesty, and free speech. There are other, equally touchy subjects to which he has applied his common sense.

Mr. Williams stated that he wrote COMMON SENSE SOLUTIONS to create a starting point for rational discussion on some hot topics. In this endeavor, his book is an outstanding success. Now, it is up to the rest of us to read his solutions and add our own common sense. Then, by listening to each other and through rational discussion, we can come up with a solution with which we all can live.
