Aftertaste
A Collection of Poems
By Darlene C. Zagata

A woman who has lost her soul mate…children without a father, this is the tragic result that happens when death extends its unmerciful hand and captures the life of a loved one.

Aftertaste: A Collection of Poems is a very moving work of art that will rest in the minds of readers long after they finish the last page. Its creation was the result of one woman's world that suddenly was shattered by the unexpected death of her beloved husband. Darlene C. Zagata is a courageous woman who was able to channel her grief and anguish into the poems which she wrote and dedicated to her late husband. She unselfishly shares with readers these heartfelt poems that went into creating this emotion-packed book.

Her penetrating words were spoken at one of the darkest hours of her life; these words enable readers to feel the suffering this woman has experienced. I feel that her words could provide a measure of comfort and reassurance for anyone who might find themselves in a similar situation. There was one memorable passage that reached out and touched my inner being:

"There is an immortal flame which lives within each of us and that spark will continue to grow and evolve eternally."

I feel such words as these speak volumes at the endless amount of talent this author possesses. She is the type of author whose work you will want to put on your reading shelf. Very highly recommended.
