I Hate This Place
The Pessimist's Guide to Life
By Jimmy Fallon and Gloria Fallon

Jimmy Fallon is best known for his comedy on Saturday Night Live. He now takes his humor to the pages with the help of his sister. The book is set up into six chapters with such titles as "When People Say...." This chapter explains what people really mean when they utter platitudes or just everyday bits of common courtesy. Another chapter "Optimistic Advice You Never Follow" takes on old clichés and puts a new and unique spin on them. My favorite part of the book is "My Story," in which Fallon lets the world know what he has learned through various experiences.

i hate this place is a funny look at the way a pessimist thinks and lives. There were many laugh out loud moments and the book sped by because of its short chapters and slim content on each page. There were some places that could have been made a bit funnier but that's just my opinion. This is a good book if you are looking for a laugh and a quick read.
